It feels damn good living next to the sea for 2 days.
Chalet was great, a must have before school starts
next week. It's heart-warming to see some people
you don't see very often like Kangyue. Well, I sure
hope you guys enjoyed the stay though there were
a lot of mosquitoes which I killed 6 and bugs.
12 FebDad drove Huibing, Jan and I to Changi after we were
done with the shopping. Checked-in at the Aloha Office,
got amused to see that we were located right beside
the board walk. 3 of us then started opening all the
windows, washing the dishes, sweeping and mopping the
floor. We ordered pizza, drumlets and garlic bread from
pizza hut and ate before some of the guys came.
Some played mahjong while others went for a walk or just
lazed around. We walked all the way to Changi Village to
have our dinner and look at aquas, unfortunately we only
managed to spot 2. Takkin and I were having this stupid
competition whereby neither one of us were supposed to
speak English, only Mandarin. One dollar was at stake.
I lost 2 rounds because I sub-consciously said 'you know'
after a sentence of Mandarin. Damn! So, I owed him
2 bucks but then, the stakes went higher. A dollar and a
dare. So, in the end we drew in terms on money and he
owed me 2 dares. We were at the foot of the old Changi
Hospital and we didn't go up in the end haha. Spent the
rest of the 6/7 hours in the morning playing blackjack and
some mahjong-ed.
13 FebTakkin, Zhengyang and I went to take a breather on the board
walk and it was fun making fun of Takkin! After we showered,
some slept, some went home. Soonhwee, Adrian, Kenghong,
Zhengyang and I went to the Changi Hotel's Japanese
Restaurant to eat a few snacks and then walked to the wet market
to get corn, potatoes and some more essentials.
We went to the beach and had one hell of a time there.
Walking on the sand, near the shoreline, skipping stones..
I tried to catch some fish but to no avail. Soonhwee, Adrian and
I started to throw balls of sand, water at each other and I was
soaked entirely. Adrian tried to make a sandcastle but failed, so
he went for the sand mountain instead, hahaaha, I know.
I dug 2 holes deep enough to bury Zhengyang's calves and
Adrian called me a mole -.- Gosh. We were indeed reliving
the good old childhood days. 5 of us retired on the pricky grass
under a young tree and I felt so light you know, lying there on the
grass and all you see is that vast blue sky with the sea breeze.
Adrian held one stalk of I don't know what whose seeds were
very light so they all floated away in one direction, where the
wind was of course and he said it was a good setting for couples
where we could be holding these as the background.
"So romantic", he calls. Oh yeah, we went up the old Changi
Hospital and Adrian said "Do you feel a cold aura?"
Yeah right, we're on top of a hill man.
Went back, to prepare for the BBQ. It's cool how some helped
to prepare stuff. Once, Emmanuel, Janice, Zhengyang and I
were in the kitchen, Home-econs partners la, like totally.
We gambled the whole night too on the second night.
Xt, Zy and I walked to the boardwalk and we had a chat,
counted down to V.day amidst the gambling and Binghui
and I decided we'd be desperate and emo and hold a
Bachelor's Party. LMAO
And heh, for those who haven't paid, please pass me the money asap!
This incident reminded me of the Gospel whereby Jesus met
10 lepers and cured all 10 but only 1 came back and showed his
utmost gratitude. Yes, 1 came back and showed his gratitude,
literally(:
