I was packing my stuff and I saw the truckloads of letters and freepapers. I looked at my hands. Did I write all that?I saw themI cried for themI must have really been lost thenThank you for finding me backLook at how you've grownyes, that's you.In your times of deep despair,do you feel there is no hope?As the darkness closes in on you,do you feel you cannot cope?As you struggle on through every trial,do you say "When will it end"?As you cry yourself to sleep at night,do you wish you had a friend? When your body's racked with aches and pains,do you feel you are alone? When you think about the future,do you fear the great unknown? There is someone who really cares, and he hears your every cry.His arms are reaching out to you,and on him you can rely. When thing close in around you,he sees your fear and doubtHe wants to hold you in his arms, and he will never cast you outAs you stumble through the darkness,he will be your guiding light. He wants to wipe your tears, for you are precious in his sight.Reach out right now to Jesus, and let him take complete controlHe'll take that heavy burden, and he'll touch and make you whole. He's reaching out his arms to you,and he wants to be your friend.Let him take you in his loving arms, for his love will never end.Wishing to encourage her young son'sprogress on the piano, a mother tookthe small boy to a paderewski concert. After they were seated, the motherspotted a friend in the audience and walked down the aisle to greet her. Seizing theopportunity to explore the wonders ofthe concert hall, the little boy rose and eventually explored his way through adoor marked "No Admittance".When the house lights dimmed and theconcert was about to begin, the motherreturned to her seat and discovered thather son was missing. Suddenly, thecurtains parted and spotlights focusedon the impressive Steinway on stage. In horror, the mother saw her little boysitting at the keyboard, innocentlypicking out "Twinkle, Twinkle littleStar". AT that moment, the great pianomaster made his entrance, quickly movedto the piano, and whispered in the boy'sear, "Don't quit, keep playing."Then leaning over, Paderewski reacheddown with his left hand and beganfilling in the base part. Soon his right armreached around to the other side of thechild and he added a running obligatio.Together, the old master and the youngnovice transformed a frightening situation into a wonderfully creativeexperience. The audience wasmesmerized. That's the way it is with God. What we canaccomplish on our own is hardly noteworthy. We try our best but the results aren't exactlygraceful flowing music. But with the hand ofthe Master, our life's work truly can be beautiful.Next time you set out to accomplish greatfeats, listen carefully. You can hear the voiceof the Master, whispering in your ear, "Dont quit, keep playing." Feel hisloving arms around you. Know that his stronghands are playing the concerto of your life.Remember, God doesn't call the equipped,
He equips the called.
